Epiphone vs gibson es 125
Since I'm now selling it, I'll let the buyer take care of that to match their own personal taste. The guitar has never been properly set up. As most of you know, this model has been discontinued from the Martin line, so this is sort of the last of its kind, especially so being a sunburst.

As it turns out, I probably only put an hour of play time on it, as I ended up spending most of my time with the old 125 (like a comfy chair, as it were.) So, although it has lived at my home for the last two plus years, it is essentially unplayed. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get there until all of the small body acoustics were gone, but this one was still there. One day I happened across a Martin dealer that was going out of business. More can be found here: Epiphone Elitist Riviera. Includes the original Elitist hard case in great condition. Below are two pics of the guitar. That it was an Elitist model in GREAT condition, short scale, easy to play, and sounded great made it an easy decision to take home. I was overwhelmed by the great condition and the beautiful cherry/wine color (the photos make it look a little more red than it really is). I just happened across this one when browsing in a shop one day. It is a 1996 model and comes with the original tan Gibson case, including the pink interior and pink satin shroud. Below are two pics of the guitar.
The condition is excellent with the biggest issue being some of the standard oxidizing of the pickups, etc. I did get to hear someone really wail on this one though and it sounded just as good as it should have. play one it was obvious what a great instrument it is. This model is truly an amazing blues guitar. It comes with the original Gibson logo tan hard case, with the pink interior. It was there, it might still be there, but I can't find it. Still, I wanted to make sure to disclose. I can't find it now or I would have taken a picture of it, so understand that it is a very small mark and it may have actually flaked off of the guitar. To my knowledge there is only one flaw in the finish and that is a tiny spot of what looks like some type of pink fingernail polish (or something). Although the top is the standard maple, the back and sides are mahogany and give it a warmer sound for that creamy style jazz. It is a 1986 model and is slightly different from most ES-175s. This is a beautiful example of the classic jazz guitar.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or if you would like to talk by phone. Standard forum rules apply, buyer is responsible for all shipping charges to/from if the guitar is returned. Guitars that I am looking for include: 000-18NB, 000-28NB, 00-18H Muldaur, 0-28VS, Santa Cruz 00 1929, 00-18V, UMGF 00-18vs model, vintage small body Gibsons, older 00-17, birthyear models of small body guitars (1953, 1992, 1995) and I'm more concerned about how a potential trade plays and sounds than how it looks. Offers will be considered, but please, no lowball offers.
Accurate pricing is hard in the market today, but I've tried to put accurate prices on all of them based on several sources. All of them are priced to include UPS ground shipping and insurance in the lower 48. I'm also including with each one a link to more pictures of each guitar. I'm listing each one with only one front and one back pic so the page will load faster. Yes, I'd love to keep them, but there is way too much guitar in each of these for someone of my limited skills, so off they go.
So, I'm listing these 5 amazing guitars for sale or trade. In recent years I've acquired several electric archtops in a search for the "right" one, only to realize that in this corner of the guitar world, I'm never going to exceed the capabilities of my trusty ES-125, no matter how nice these others are. after taking stock of what I'm really playing and what I'm not, I've decided to completely revamp my lineup.
